Catherine Olson is an actor and vocalist who resides near Portland, Oregon.

In opera, musical theatre, and non-musical stage works, Catherine explores story telling first on a physical level. Breath gives us life. Thus, breath awakens the story in our bodies, our hearts, and our imaginations. All story telling is connected, whether playing the people-pleasing Logainne in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Broadway Rose, 2016), mischievous Puck in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Experience Theatre Project, 2016), or the headstrong heroine Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Catherine Olson is recognized for her astute dramatic and evocative vocal performances ranging from Italian Baroque monody to contemporary opera and theatre. Catherine earned her Master of Music degree in 2010 at the University of Oregon, where she was honored as Outstanding Graduate Performer and sang everything from new works to early music. Studies and performances have taken Catherine to Milan, Berlin, Vienna, New York, and throughout the US, China, and Ecuador.

  1. Saw you as Adele in Die Fledermaus last night at Univ of Portland. Great fun!

  2. Came to Die Fled, you carried us all along with your madcap vivacious energy, just seeing you was worth ten times the price of admission. The set was outstanding, the smooth changes of scene and choreography charmed us and put big grins on our faces. What magic!!! Mysterious Magic!!!

  3. You stole the show at Die Fledermaus this afternoon. Great job!
